Safarnama

At the dawn of the new day when the sky was still dark and the air was carrying a slight cold wind. Around 3am in the morning I was gazing at the transiting sky. I was observing the change from the dark night to the slowly arriving brightness. The change of night to new day gave me a thought of the journey of life. And my mind came up with the word “Safarnama”. It is an Urdu word meaning “Travelogue”. Life has its own huge Safarnama but this whole travelogue comprises of various small Safarnamas, they all together writeup the Safarnama of our life.

There are various Safarnamas like all my questions make a Safarnama, so do all my answers. All my thoughts’ Safarnama. In the darkest times, we are surprised by the Safarnama of the lights, they are the ones who provide us with all the strength we need and seek to fight the hate and negativity around us. The Safarnama of the miracles of love as well as the Safarnama of the teachings.

The Safarnamas could be of the smallest thing to the biggest imaginable thing that may happen. While going through all these lives and reading these Safarnamas again and again we realize things and our surroundings, we become wise. We no more need to read them but soon start experiencing them in our lives and that experience gives us new teachings. It starts challenging our wisdom, knowledge about the architecture of the cosmos, and the philosophies which make us who we are. This helps us realize that the wise person we were exploring for all these lives and all these years was within us. That’s the Safarnama of the journey towards your true self. the Safarnamas and these journeys leave us with a message and teaching, that the early mornings are new as well as old. They carry some bits of the darkness from yesterday’s night and are walking the path towards tomorrow’s light.

Soon I found myself in front of the same rising sun which rose yesterday and will again rise tomorrow after tonight but today was a new morning!
